In this study, the situation of the direct or indirect psychological support by the clinical psychotherapists at children's institution in Japan was investigated. The result of the questionnaire survey showed that more than 60% of the psychotherapists did not get involved in the family support either directly nor indirectly. Yet more than 85% of the psychotherapists agreed to the statement that it was better that psychotherapists got involved in the family support at children's institutions. Furthermore, it is revealed that the family social workers strongly hoped the involvement of the psychotherapists. Therefore, the construction of the family support model by the psychotherapists at children's institutions is desirable.

本研究调查了日本儿童机构的临床心理治疗师对儿童进行直接或间接心理支持的情况。问卷调查结果显示，超过60%的心理治疗师没有直接或间接参与家庭支持。然而，超过85%的心理治疗师同意，这是更好的，心理治疗师参与到儿童机构的家庭支持的声明。此外，本研究亦发现家庭社工强烈希望心理治疗师的介入。因此，儿童机构心理治疗师建构家庭支持模式是可取的。
