In 16th century Italian poetics, the concept of "imitation" played an important role. This "imitation"-the method of reproducing from an object its faithful image- had aspects opposed to the poet's personal imagination. This study tried to investigate what 16th- and 17th- century Italian poets thought of the relation between "imitation" and "imagination", by analyzing important poetics between the second half of the 16th and first half of the 17th centuries. Three tendencies were found: (1) "imagination" was perceived as being complementary to "imitation"; (2) "imitation" was respected but "imagination" was considered important regardless of the former; (3) "imitation" was perceived negatively.

在16世纪的意大利世纪诗学中，“模仿”概念发挥了重要作用。这种“模仿”--从一个对象中再现其忠实形象的方法--有着与诗人个人想象相反的方面。本文试图通过对16世纪后半叶至17世纪上半叶重要诗学的分析，探讨16、17世纪意大利诗人对“模仿”与“想象”关系的看法。发现了三种趋势：（1）“想象”被认为是“模仿”的补充;（2）“模仿”受到尊重，但“想象”被认为是重要的，而不管前者;（3）“模仿”被认为是负面的。
