My study comes to the following conclusions:It is appropriate to define so cold "extreme-right phenomenon" in Europe not as right-wing extremism, but as right-wing populism. The concept of "empty signifier", which E. Laclau, a post-marxist, has formed, can adequately explain the function of political ideas in politics. And when the situation is critical, it is in these political ideas(empty signifiers) that the human aggressiveness comes into action and is justified. Successful populist ideologies have necessarily utopian elements and give an impetus to the psychoanalytical desire of mother-infant bond too. And successful speeches of the populist leaders are constructed as a kind of success story.
