Study on the risk of infective endocarditis accompanied with the progression of periodontitis

在这项研究中，我们从统计学上检验了牙周炎的进展与感染性心内膜炎(IE)风险之间的关系。在这项研究中，我们打算在德岛红十字会医院心血管外科既往有心脏瓣膜症状的患者中提供一项研究协议。结果，我们收集了39名男性(64.2岁)，39名女性(70.4岁)，总共78名受试者。7例为既往IE患者。IE患者与未患IE的心脏病患者相比，牙周细菌抗体滴度无明显差异，但对牙槽骨吸收和拔牙次数有显著影响。

In this study, we examined the association between the progress of periodontitis and the risk of infective endocarditis (IE), statistically. For this study, we intended for the thing that an agreement was provided for this study among patients with the past of the heart valve symptom in the Tokushima Red Cross Hospital, caridiovascular surgery.As a result, we collected 39 men (64.2 years old), 39 women (70.4 years old), documents of 78 subjects in total. Seven were the subjects suffered from IE in the past. As for the IE patient, a difference wasn't seen in serum antibody titer of periodontal bacteria in comparison with the heart disease patient who it didn't suffer from IE, but a siginificant difference was recognized to alveolar bone resorption and the number of the tooth extraction required.
