Investigation of interface between parasite and denture base materials

很少有研究对丙烯酸树脂假体中的细菌入侵进行检测。本研究的目的是对长期使用后的丙烯酸树脂义齿基托和丙烯酸树脂闭孔内腔微生物进行定量鉴定。在丙烯酸树脂义齿基托和闭孔中检出多种活菌。本研究结果提示，丙烯酸树脂假体及其内部细菌可能与口腔异味和口腔/呼吸道感染有关。

Few studies have examined the bacterial invasion in the acrylic resin prostheses. The aim of this study is to quantify and identify the microorganisms in the acrylic resin denture bases and in the inner space of acrylic resin obturator of dento-maxillary prostheses after long-term use. Several species of viable bacteria were detected in acrylic resin denture bases and obturators. The findings of this study suggest that acrylic resin prostheses and bacteria inside the acrylic resin prostheses may be associated with oral malodor and oral/respiratory infections in individuals wearing prostheses.
