The survey of the morning care by nurses in Japan: Aim at clinical introduction of the morning care which promotes postoperative recovery

本研究旨在了解日本护士进行晨间护理的实际情况，并考虑将晨间护理有效地引入临床环境的方案，该方案名为“起床后舒适护理”，用于术后恢复。全国调查的结果如下。第一，骨科病房的晨间护理主要由护士在清晨进行。第二，通过准备刷牙工具和蒸毛巾简化护理内容。在与护士和护理教师的回顾会议上，根据本调查结果，讨论了内容不足和操作难点。然后设计了将Comfort upon Rising Care引入临床的方案。下一步是使该计划更加具体，并将其引入临床环境。

The research purpose is to clarify the actual condition of the morning care which nurses perform in Japan and to consider the program which effectively introduces morning care named as Comfort upon Rising Care for postoperative recovery into clinical setting. The result of a national survey is the following. First, morning care in the orthopedics ward is mainly carried out by nurses at the early morning. Second, the care contents are simplified by preparation of a tooth brushing tool and a steamed towel. At the review meeting with nurses and nursing teachers based on the result of this survey, insufficient contents and operational difficult points were discussed. Then the program for introducing a Comfort upon Rising Care into clinical setting was designed. The next step is making this program more concrete and introducing this into clinical setting.
