Oral mucositis is one of the most common complications in patients with head and neck cancer receiving radiotherapy. It has a great impact on quality of life in terms of physical pain and patient’ s ability to eat, swallow, and speak. Thus, it is important that patient observes an intraoral state continuously to detect oral mucositis early, and to deal. The purpose of this study is to development of the oral self-monitoring sheet of head and neck cancer patient receiving radiotherapy. The indexes of the symptom aggravation in the mouth were the contents about oral mucositis, the dryness in the mouth, taste disorder, oral pain, and a functional disorder. It was suggested thatpractical use of this sheet helps for patients to cope with their symptoms.

口腔粘膜炎是接受放射治疗的头颈癌患者最常见的并发症之一。它对身体疼痛和患者进食、吞咽和说话的能力方面的生活质量有很大影响。因此，为了及早发现口腔粘膜炎并进行处理，患者持续观察口腔内的状态非常重要。本研究的目的是开发接受放射治疗的头颈癌患者的口腔自我监测表。口腔症状加重的指标为口腔粘膜炎、口干、味觉障碍、口腔疼痛、功能障碍的内容。有人建议，实际使用这张纸有助于患者应对他们的症状。
