Basic study to develop an assessment index for introducing visiting nursing with the aim of preventing the progression of physical illness in the elderly with dementia

本研究目的在取得基础资料，以建立评估指标，为失智症老人实施访视护理，预防其身体疾病的发展提供依据。引入探访护理的评估指标，不应是一个简单的清单，而应透过实际家访的观察，全面评估失智症长者的生活情况、居住环境、身体状况及家庭情况等，并应可供考虑使用探访护理以外的服务时使用。我们的研究结果还澄清，重要的是访问护士自己首先访问病人时，利用评估指标。

The purpose of this study was to obtain basic data to create an assessment index for introducing visiting nursing with the aim of preventing the progression of physical illness in the elderly with dementia. The assessment index for introducing visiting nursing should not be a simple checklist but should comprehensively assess living situations, living environment, physical conditions, family situations, and so on, of the elderly with dementia through observation during actual home visits and should be able to be used when considering the use of services other than visiting nursing. Our results also clarified that it is important that visiting nurses themselves first visit patients when utilizing the assessment index.
