当該研究最終年度となった本年度は、これまでの研究成果を形にすることに力を注いだ。12月にイスタンブルで開催された国際会議が、この研究の成果を、13-14世紀のペルシア語文化圏の歴史学――特に科学史――を専門とする専門家たちの前で、自らの研究成果を公表する機会となった。そこで、この時代のペルシア語文化圏においては、その西方のアラビア語文化圏において大いに発展を見せた礼拝時間計測のための学である、計時学の発展を示すような文献およびその担い手に関する記述が見出されないこと、そしてその所以がこの時期のイスラム教文化圏東西(西 : マムルーク朝、東 : イル・ハン朝)の政治的分裂に起因する天文学研究の差異化にあることを論じた。この発表を聞いた専門家たちは、東方のペルシア語文化圏において、計時学文献や計時官が見られないのは非常に面白い現象であり、それについて分析する必要・価値が大いにあるとする一方で、この種の研究はいまだ途に就いたばかりであり、特に中東諸国にはいまだに手つかずの文献が数多く眠っており、今後の史料の発見次第では、この議論が覆る可能性があること、原典研究をさらに進めていかねばならないことを指摘した。そうしたうえで特に研究が必要とされる文献ジャンルとして、ペルシア語のズィージュ/天文表が挙げられた。これは当時のペルシア語文化圏を代表する天文書のジャンルであり、この精査なくして、この地域の天文学史研究の進展は望めないということであった。まずはその基礎研究が必要とされており、特に信頼できる校訂テキストの刊行が挨たれている。こうした議論も意識しつつ、イル・ハン朝期に非常に影響力を持った『イル・ハン天文表』に見える中国暦の校訂英訳注を行い、前近代科学史研究についての国際誌SCIAMVSにて発表した。
