本研究の目的は、なぜ内集団協力は達成されるのか問いに対する一つの回答として、内集団協力と外集団脅威の循環的強化モデルを提示することである。具体的には、内集団協力によって外集団脅威認知が生起しうることを示し、選考研究で示されている外集団脅威によって内集団協力が促進される現象と合わせて、両者が相互循環的に強化しうることを示そうとしていた。昨年度までの結果から、外集団脅威認知をもたらす要因は高価値な資源を持っていることであることが示された。昨年度は、高価値な資源が外集団脅威認知が生起する現象が、ヒトに特異的であるかを検討するためフサオマキザルを対象とした実験と、外集団脅威によって生じる内集団協力の性質を検討するための集団実験を実施した。本年度は前者については、実験刺激を動画刺激から、より統制された顔の画像刺激に変更し、同一のパラダイムを用いた追加実験を実施した。結果は昨年度の結果と一貫して、フサオマキザルにおいても高価値な資源が外集団脅威認知をもたらすことを示唆するものであった。現在は実験の目的を知らされていないナイーブなコーダーを用いて、結果の妥当性を検討している。後者については、外集団脅威プライミング手続きに失敗していたことが示唆されたため、本年度はプライミング手続きを変更した追加実験を実施した。結果は、予め定めていたデータ数には足りないものの、男女で外集団脅威によって生じる内集団協力の性質が異なることを示唆するものであり、男性は内集団に対する協力行動と外集団に対する攻撃行動の両方が生起するのに対して、女性では内集団に対する協力行動のみが見られた。

The purpose of this study is to provide an answer to the problem of internal and external collective cooperation, and to prompt the enhancement of the cycle of internal and external collective threats.
