LIV-1 is very important molecule which regulates epithelial-mesenchymal transition in pancreatic cancer. In LIV-1 downregulated pancreatic cancer cells, expression of cancer stemness-related molecules was downregulated, suggesting a role of LIV-1 in cancer stemness.
