项目摘要

まず、論文「『源氏物語』御法巻の秋風」がある。『源氏物語』では、登場人物が故人の死を悼む際、寒々と吹く秋風が寂しさ・悲しさを募らせる契機となって描かれることが多かった。このような哀傷の方法として用いられる秋風は、仮名散文作品としては『源氏物語』に初めて見られたことをまず指摘した。この哀傷の秋風は、御法巻の紫の上の死に関わって用例が頻出するが、肝心の紫の上と最も強い絆で結ばれていた主人公光源氏については、秋風に吹かれて紫の上の死を嘆く場面は出てこない。主人公がヒロインの死を悼むという最も哀切を極める場面に関しては、秋風による哀傷表現では主人公の大きな悲しみを表現し尽くすことができないために、物語がこの常套的な方法をあえて用いなかった、そのことについても明らかにした。次に、論文「桐壺の一族－後宮殿舎継承の方法をめぐって－」がある。『源氏物語』には、皇妃や貴族が宮中で部屋として用いた建物（後宮殿舎）をその一族の血縁者が継承している例が見えるが、これには二通りのもの、直接的な殿舎の継承―後宮殿舎を、後宮における一族出身者の優遇という政治的な目的から、一族内で途切れなく受け継いでいく場合と、「ゆかりの殿舎」継承―過去に一族に使用された殿舎を、馴染みの深い場所として、ある程度の時間の経過後に再び用いる場合とがあったことを指摘した。そして、『源氏物語』が、史上の権力者とは異なる、自家の利を後回しにして公平な政治を行う主人公光源氏については、その性格に応じて、一族三代（桐壺更衣・光源氏・明石姫君）の桐壺継承を意図的に後者の方法で描いていったことを、新見として示した。なお、本研究者は、著書「平安朝物語の後宮空間―宇津保物語から源氏物語へ―」によって紫式部学術賞を紫式部顕彰会から授与され、2015年5月に洛陽文化講座（於京都商工会議所）で授賞記念講演「『源氏物語』の後宮空間」を行う予定である。
