项目摘要

本研究では, 日本列島旧石器時代における冷温帯や温帯の森林的環境, そして寒帯の草原的環境に適応した人類の石器使用や資源利用技術の特徴を明らかにすることを目的として, 本州東半の後期旧石器時代前半期や縄文時代草創期の石器群, そして最終氷期最盛期の北海道の石器群を対象に使用痕分析を実施する. また石器使用痕分析の成果とそれぞれの地域・時期の古環境との比較を通して, 人類の適応戦略や資源利用技術の地域的な多様性を考察する. 本年度では1)北海道の最終氷期最盛期に位置づけられる石器群を対象とした使用痕分析, 2)本州の縄文時代草創期の石器を対象とした使用痕分析, および3)日本列島から産出する哺乳動物化石とその年代測定に関する近年の研究成果の集成と整理, を実施した.1, 北海道の最終氷期最盛期に位置づけられる柏台I遺跡やオバルベツ2遺跡の細石刃石器群, そして嶋木遺跡の剥片石器群を分析対象として抽出した. 石器使用痕分析の結果, 細石刃石器群に伴う石器には骨や角, 牙の加工を示す痕跡が, 剥片石器群に伴う石器には主に乾燥皮や生皮, 肉などの加工を示す痕跡が多数観察された. この成果は, 寒帯の草原的な環塊に適応した人類の石器使用や資源利用技術の多様性を考察する重要な基礎的データになる.2, 千葉県船橋市の向遺跡から出土した縄文時代草創期に位置づけられる局部磨製石斧を対象に使用痕分析を実施した. 被加工物は不明であったものの, 磨製の刃部に観察された顕著な摩滅や微小剥離痕などはこの部位が使用されたことを示している.3, 日本列島から産出する哺乳動物化石とその年代測定に関する近年の成果を改めて集成し, 後期更新世における陸上哺乳動物相の特徴と, 特に大型動物の絶滅時期とその要因に関する研究を整理した. この成果は当時の古環境の一部である動物相を明らかにするうえで重要な成果になると考える。

The purpose of this study is to clarify the characteristics of human stone tools and resource utilization techniques in the forest environment of the cold and warm zones of the Paleolithic period in the Japanese islands. The results of stone tool use trace analysis and comparison of paleoenvironment in different regions and periods were investigated. This year, 1) the analysis of the location and use of stone tools in Hokkaido at the peak of the final age, 2) the analysis of the use of stone tools in Honshu at the initial age, 3) the integration of recent research results related to the dating of mammalian fossils produced in the Japanese archipelago, and the implementation of the. Hokkaido's final peak is located in the Baitai I site, and the two sites of the fine stone blade stone group, and the three sites of the stone blade stone group are analyzed and extracted. The results of the analysis of stone tool use marks show that the fine stone edge stone tool group shows the processing marks of bone, angle and tooth, and the peeling stone tool group shows the processing marks of dry skin, hide and meat. This achievement is based on the investigation of the diversity of human stone tool use and resource utilization technology in the cold zone of grassland. 2. The site of the site of the excavation in the early period of the cultural era in Chiba City is analyzed. 3. The results of recent years in the dating of mammalian fossils produced in the Japanese archipelago have been improved and integrated into the characteristics of terrestrial mammals in the late Pleistocene. The study of extinction period and important factors of macrofauna is organized. This achievement is part of the ancient environment of the time.
