平成26年度は，25年度にルール大学ボーフムに長期滞在した際に収集した史料を読解・整理し，ドイツ経済史における自身の博士論文の意義を明らかにするためにドイツ語・日本語の二次文献を読解，整理するなど国内での作業に集中した1年であった．そのため，19世紀末における鉄鋼企業と銀行業の独占体制形成と両者の関係の強化から第二次世界大戦後までの両者の関係の変容の過程において，大恐慌期における代表的な独占的鉄鋼企業である合同製鋼に対する政府介入が鉄鋼企業と銀行業との関係にいかなる作用をもたらしたかという本論のテーマが持つ意義を確認することが出来た．一方で，博士論文の中核にすえる，1932～33年の国有合同製鋼と国有ドレスデン銀行の再建の並行性・関連性を証明する論文（論文A）を完成することを目標としてきたが，反証を抑えるほどの実証力の不足，新たな有益な史料の連続した発見により投稿するに至らなかった．現在までにほぼ完成し，近く政治経済学・経済史学会『歴史と経済』に投稿する予定である．結果として論文の投稿は遅れたが，ドイツ経済史における自らの研究の意義を確認出来き，長期的に考えれば，博士論文の質を高める方向に作用したと考える．以上の過程で明らかになった史料の不足を補うため，2月14日～22日にベルリン・リヒターフェルデ連邦文書館と3月7日～22日までデュースブルクのテュッセンクルップ企業文書館で史料調査を行った．その史料は同時並行で行っている，大銀行とは異なる論理で動いていた個人銀行家と合同製鋼の関係，1934～36年の合同製鋼の再私有化とそれによる諸銀行との関係の再編， 1920年代から1930年代にかけて企業政策担当者や経済学者が独占的企業の問題をいかに捉え，政府の企業への介入をいかに評価していたかを扱った構想中の論文の裏付けともなる史料である．
