【研究目的】危機に対して柔軟かつ頑強な国際通貨制度への具体的な指針を提案すること.【研究内容】平成25年度は, 1. 国際通貨制度のモデル化, 2. 進化的価格形成モデルへの実装, 3. 制度設計の指針提案を計画していた. 2の段階で進化的価格形成モデルの妥当性に関する問題が明らかになった. 進化的価格形成モデルでは, 各主体の保有する通貨の量によって通貨の価値が決定する. つまり, 通貨の限界効用を仮定する. それによって決められた価値を基本に, 各主体は互いの交換後の価値が上昇するように取引を重ねていく. その過程の中で, 通貨の交換比率, すなわち, 価格が形成される. 当初は, モデルの妥当性については問題無いと判断していたが, 通貨の限界効用を仮定する点において, 消費されない通貨に効用を仮定することへの問題が指摘された. この問題に対応するため, 国際通貨制度の研究と進化的価格形成モデルの研究をそれぞれ独立並行して進め, 制度設計の指針提案は価格変動なしの場合にだけ限定して行うことにした.国際通貨制度の研究については, これまでに完成していた価格変動を考慮しないモデルを用いて研究を展開し, a. 地域間取引の障壁が低いほど単一の基軸通貨が生成し, 障壁が高いほど各地域で複数の基軸通貨が生成する体制が生じること, b. 基軸通貨の安定は各主体の流動性選好に依存すること, を明らかにした.進化的価格形成モデルについては, 通貨に対する限界効用を仮定することで, 数量と主体の趣向によって通貨が価値づけられ, その価値の差から価格が生じることが分かったが, 限界効用を仮定することの理論的説明をすることの困難性も明らかになった。
