This study investigates and examines images for worship, such as ‘Taoist’ statues, whose religious origins were in China, from the viewpoint of art history. In particular, this study analysed the emergence process of Taoiststatues and their development in each region during the Southern and Northern Dynasties (5th-6th centuries), which was known as the era of origin of these statues in China. On the basis of this analysis, we point out a clear association that existed in Taoist statues by comparing many works, focusing on a kind of Chinese armrest called ‘pingji’ and a kind of duster called ‘zhuwei’, which are characteristic attributes of the principal image.

本研究从艺术史的角度，探讨宗教起源于中国的道教造像等供人崇拜的图像。特别是分析了道教造像的产生过程及其在中国南北北方时期（5 - 6世纪）的发展，这一时期被称为道教造像的起源时代。在此基础上，通过对诸多作品的比较，指出道教造像中存在的一种明显的关联，重点是中国的一种名为“平极”的扶手和一种名为“诸尾”的拂尘，这是道教造像主像的特征属性。
