Magnetic reconnection is believed to play a crucial role in a variety of explosive phenomena in space plasma. However, the dissipation mechanism taking place in a small region is poorly understood. The present study has performed a large-scale plasma particle simulation and investigated the 3D dissipation mechanism in a fast magnetic reconnection. It is found that a shear-driven mode generates the anomalous dissipation.
