The research on Japanese traditional sports and body culture which are protected by annual events

本研究的目的是通过年度活动和节日中的传统比赛实践来考察日本传统的身体观及其传播方式和逐渐变化。首先，年度活动和节日是保持近代以前的价值观的地方，那里的价值观作为日本的“传统”文化得到保护。本研究以日本东西部的哈达祭为例，以冈山县西大寺观音院的“Eyou”和岩手县国石寺的“Sominsai”为例，通过对身体的“外观”来考察各地保护和改变的价值体系。最后，证实了举办比赛的传统场所在保护当地文化及其价值观方面发挥着重要作用。

The purpose of this research is to examine the Japanese traditional outlook on the body, its way of transmission and gradual changes through the practice of traditional competitions in annual events and festivals. Firstly, annual events and festivals are places where the sense of values from before the modern period are maintained and the values in that place are protected as Japanese "traditional" culture. In this research, the system of values which is protected and changed is examined through the "look" on the body in each district through the example of Hadaka-matsuri in the east and west side of Japan such as "Eyou" at Saidaiji Kan-nonin shrine Okayama prefecture and "Sominsai" at Kokuseki-ji shrine in Iwate prefecture. In conclusion, it is confirmed that the traditional place where competition is held takes a important role in protecting the local cultures and their values.
