项目摘要

本年度は前年度研究成果の発表、個別の遺跡資料の分析、国際学会発表と会議録執筆、現地調査を実施した。特に個別遺跡資料の分析を進め、本年度は第6王朝に関する所見をまとめた。ペピ1世ピラミッド出土の建造墨書について、墨書の内容と出土位置や媒体石材の種類などとの相関性について検討を加えた結果、王を頂点に、宰相、二つの家の王の建築家、「王の息子」、そして各監督官へと続く指揮系統を提示した。また資料の欠損状況から、これらの建造墨書を記した労働者らは主にピラミッドが建てられる建設現場で作業に当たっていたことを明らかにした。また指揮系統の発達や各建設現場に複数の監督官が配置される背景については、いわゆる中央集権力の弱体化が著しい高官勢力台頭の時代において、もはやかつての王名を冠した労働者集団での国家的事業の完遂は困難だった苦しい実情が大いに影響した可能性を提示した。前年度の研究成果を踏まえて、各々のピラミッドのプランや工期、立地条件や使用する石材の選択、ピラミッドの内装などの諸条件、そしてその時々の国家運営の諸事情に合わせて、ピラミッド建設に携わる労働者組織はその都度組み替えられていたという結論が導き出された。6月の国際学会Abusir and Saqqara in the Year 2015では、前年度成果およびこの第６王朝期に興る労働者組織編成の大胆な改革について発表した。また、現地調査としてクフ王第２の船復原作業で発見された木造船の部材に記された大工記号の記録と分析・研究を実施した。この度発見された木造船は古王国時代第４王朝クフ王の副葬品として納められた船であり、時代的にも建造墨書との関係性が深い。その資料化を通して大工記号と建造墨書の共通点が明らかになり、特に筆者が昨年度の研究成果で指摘した建造墨書の顔料の使い分けが意図的であるとの解釈が、蓋然性の高いものであることが証明された。
