项目摘要

まずネットワーク外部性の存在しない市場を想定し、いくつかの命題を導出することで外部性が働くモデルの予備的考察を行った。特に重要な命題は「財の品質差の動きによって『共食い』現象が起こる」というものである。Kitamura and Shinkai (2015) にて、共食いのメカニズムと、それが均衡に与える影響を明らかにした。特に、パラメータの条件によって共食いが起こり、各企業の均衡生産量の順序に大きな影響を与えていることを明確に示し、その解釈を提示している。また、企業が競争する財の種類を選べる（財の種類を内生化する）という拡張を研究し、各パラメータの条件による、企業の生産ラインの選択に関する結論を与えた。この論文の改訂稿を2016年3月現在、査読付き国際学術専門誌に投稿準備中である。その後、差別化財の「MPF市場」と、「財内のネットワーク外部性」の２点に焦点を絞り分析を進めていくために、独占市場の分析に着手した。この独占モデルにおける重要な命題は、独占企業の利潤が高品質財の生産の限界費用に関してU字型になるということである。つまり、この企業は独占的に複数財を供給し、生産費用が減少しているにも関わらず、自身の利潤も減少してしまう可能性がある。通常、独占市場ではこのような関係は見られないが、その理由は２つあり、均衡概念とMPFであることを分析の中で明らかにした。この研究論文は松島法明（大阪大学）、猪野弘明（関西学院大学）、藤原憲二（関西学院大学）各氏からコメントをいただいた後改訂し、“Cost Reduction can Reduce Profit and Welfare in a Monopoly,”として査読付き国際学術専門誌に投稿準備中である。また、2015年8月にドイツのミュンヘンで開催された、欧州産業組織論学会の国際会議EARIE2015での研究報告を行った。
