平成２８年度末までの成果は、以下の３点である。まず、教育、健康などの人的投資のアウトカムと様々なインプットとの関係を明らかにした多数の文献を通して、人的投資におけるアウトカムと様々なインプットとの因果関係の全体像を把握したのと同時に、その分析手法を獲得することができた。次に、途上国農村の信用市場に関する多数の文献を通して、途上国農村部の信用市場と人的投資行動との関係をより深く理解することができたのと同時に、以前の研究代表者の研究成果（途上国農村部における多種類の信用機関へのアクセスの有無と健康状態の変数のプラスの相関関係）をより体系的に理解することができた。最後に、平成２７年度に完成したデータを通して、様々なアウトカム変数とインプット変数の関係を多数の文献を参考にして分析したのと同時に、信用市場へのアクセスの制限がそれぞれのアウトカム変数にどのような影響を与えるのかを見た。平成２９年度における研究では、消費モデルの理解を深めるのと同時に、それらの消費モデルを使った実証分析方法を学んだ。特に、Fumio Hayashiの『Understanding Saving Evidence from the United States and Japan』は非常に参考になった。これらの学習との関連で、上級マクロ経済学の授業に参加した。講義の中での消費モデル、保険市場、信用市場に関数する学習は、研究への理解をより深めてくれた。それらの知見を活かして、健康にかかわる変数（医療支出、食料支出、親の健康関連変数）と信用制約変数との関連を見た。今回、操作変数として土地の価値を使用した。信用制約から健康関連変数へのプラスの影響を見ることができた。今までの健康投資に関する理論モデルと整合的である。しかし、すべての健康関連変数において有意な結果を得ることができなかった点においてまだ課題がある。
