项目摘要

本年度（平成28年度）は本研究課題に対する補完的研究を強化した。具体的には、2点ある。第1に、負債調達源の相違が企業の投資行動に及ぼす影響について考察を深めるため、企業にとって投資と共に財務的支出項目で重要な構成要素を占める株主への利益還元策に着目し研究を進めた。検証の結果、企業はロールオーバー・リスクに直面すると配当を減額し、自社株買いも含めた総利益還元額も減らす傾向にあること、財務柔軟性の確保のために利益還元の手段として配当よりも自社株買いを選好するようになることがわかった。しかし、このような傾向については公募負債市場へのアクセスを有する企業においては確認できず、資金調達制約に直面していない企業においてはロールオーバー・リスクと株主還元策の結びつきは弱まることがわかった。このような研究成果は前年度までの企業投資行動への直接的影響分析を行った研究結果と相似する。これら研究成果については本年度において秋季日本金融学会、大東文化大学、早稲田大学で報告を行った。第2に、銀行との関係で企業が直面するホールド・アップ問題に対する一つの対抗策として株主の交渉力の程度の差異が機能し得るかどうかという点についても実証的に分析を行った。暫定的ながら得られた分析結果によれば、企業は短期銀行負債比率上昇（換言すれば、ホールド・アップ問題が惹起される可能性が上昇）による投資率減少に直面するものの、株主交渉力を強化することにより、当該ホールド・アップ問題による投資率減少を緩和することが可能となる。しかし、本研究においては予測（仮説）に関する理論モデルフレームワークによる考察をする必要がある点や、実証において用いられる株主交渉力の代理変数の設計、妥当性等、より検討を要する課題項目がある。なお、本研究については生活経済学会九州部会において報告を行った。
