项目摘要

平成29年度は、3年間の研究期間のまとめとして、平野郷町の運営と古河藩の飛地支配に関わる論考を2つ公表した。1つ目は『神戸大学史学年報』に掲載された論考で、平野郷町で安永9～天明元（1780～81年）にかけて設置をみた古河藩の陣屋について、同藩の上方所領支配における具体的機能を分析する観点から、基礎的な検討をおこなったものである。ここでは従来ほとんど明らかにされていなかった陣屋の建築構成や藩役人の職掌・人数・実働期間を詳細に検討するとともに、文政期の藩領組み替えに伴って平野郷町で生起した陣屋引き留め嘆願を取り上げた。その結果、関東譜代大名にとっての「在坂・在京時の賄料」という形で平板な理解がなされていた上方の飛地領について、「添知（地）」と「役知」という区分の存在が明らかになり、「非領国」と呼ばれる畿内近国地域の中で平野郷町が有していた藩領の中核としての機能が明確になった。2つ目は『童子山』に掲載予定の論考で、播磨国にフィールドを広げて古河藩の飛地支配を考えたものである。ここでは書簡史料の解読を中心に、平野郷町の陣屋を拠点とした古河藩の飛地支配を、播磨国の所領（加東・美嚢・多可の各郡）や年貢輸送の拠点（高砂浦）も含み込んだ形でとらえることの必要性を指摘した。以上に挙げた研究課題の中核をなす論考のほか、平成29年度は大阪市平野区、大阪府八尾市、兵庫県尼崎市、同猪名川町、同篠山市において自治体史の刊行や論考の掲載、講演会などを通じた研究成果の公表・発信ができた。これらはいずれも、地域の史料を読み解く際の視角として、領主の支配や文芸活動へ目配りすることについての問題提起を意図したものである。総じて3年の研究期間を経て、畿内・近国地域における在郷町の運営を、領主支配との関わりからとらえる視角による基礎的な研究を積み上げることができた。
