项目摘要

人種が曖昧な他者の顔を見た時，その他者の人種はマイノリティであると判断されやすい，人種のカテゴリー知覚バイアスが生じることが知られている。そして，このバイアスに影響を与える要因として，マイノリティ人種に対する差別が関連することが指摘されている。しかし，これは白人 / 黒人の文脈でしか検討されておらず，アジア人でも同様の傾向が生じるかについては不明である。また，このバイアスに遺伝的要因が関与するかについても不明である。そこで本研究では，人種のカテゴリー知覚バイアスがアジア人でも生じるか，そして，このバイアスに影響を与える遺伝文化的要因について，日本人と香港人を対象に実験を行った (実験1，実験2)。実験1では，京都大学の学生を対象に，PC画面上に提示される顔写真の人物の人種カテゴリーを知覚させる課題 (カテゴリー知覚課題) を含む3つの課題に加え，参加者の心理特性や外国人との接触頻度を尋ねる質問紙調査を行った。また，カテゴリー知覚課題中の前頭前野活動の測定，並びに参加者の口腔細胞からCOMT遺伝子多型を解析した。実験1の結果を，日本心理学会第81回大会にてポスターで発表した。実験2では，Chinese University of Hong Kongの学生を対象に，実験1と同じ手順で実験を行った。実験2では，脳活動は測定せず，参加者の口腔細胞からCOMT遺伝子多型を解析した。更に，カテゴリー知覚の応用への足掛かりとして実験3を行った。実験3では，京都大学の学生を対象に，PC画面上に提示される顔写真の人物の表情を知覚させる課題を含む2つの課題並びに，参加者の心理特性を尋ねる質問紙調査を行った。この時，表情知覚課題中の前頭前野活動の測定を行った。本研究により，対人知覚の初期段階において遺伝・環境・心理的要因が果たす影響を解明することは，対人間葛藤の早期解消の足掛かりになると考える。
