英文摘要
This year, I continued to explore the genomic characteristics and molecular machinery of sensory functions of dicyemid.I found that instead of gene family expansion, dicyemids highly reduce GPCR gene family comparing with other bilaterians which usually possess more than dozens of GPCR genes. The expression of neurotransmitters and neuropeptides suggest that apical cells may play an important role in signal processing for the surrounding stimuli.Repetitive sequences account for 49% of the assembled dicyemid genome. and long interspersed nuclear elements (LINEs) contributing 30% of dicyemid repetitive sequences is the most abundant repeat family. All results of genomic and transcriptomic analyses have been summarized into a manuscript for publication and my PhD thesis.
