本年度は前年度の研究成果を踏まえて、1950年代初頭の共産党による都市工作と大衆運動の分析を通じて、中共のイデオロギー操作と民衆意識の相互規定性を明らかにし、中共革命における東北都市部の位置付けを検討した。日本国内の研究機関にて資料調査を行っただけでなく、中国上海の華東師範大学の資料センターなどの国外研究機関と公文書館にて資料調査と現地調査も行った。得られた資料を基にして、「三反」「五反」運動に着目して、中共は経済の不正問題をめぐる大衆運動を発動することによって、民衆統合を促進するプロセス、および大衆運動における基層社会と民衆の実態を検討した。「三反」「五反」運動によって、共産党の民衆に対する把握は空前の強力なものとなったと指摘できる。これらの運動はそれ以前の生産競争 や増産節約といった生産動員と異なって、党のイデオロギーの浸透を強要する政治動員となっていった。以上のような強化されつつある党の支配に対して、民衆は暴力や人を摘発することが手柄と認められるなどの、抑圧的な政治環境において、運動に巻き込まれていた。暴力と恐怖から逃れるために、積極的に自らレッテルを貼ったり、事実と関係なく罪を認めたりした。さらに、日常生活において、あらゆる贅沢と思われるものを隠匿して、わざと質素な服装を身に付けて、見せるように努力していた。「三反」「五反」運動によって、党の権力は民衆の私生活へ介入して、個人に対する支配の度合いを高めていった一方で、民衆は計算ずくで積極的な振りをしていたことが判明できた。これらの民衆の行動は党の支配に対応する策であり、民衆は中共のイデオロギーを受容したとは限らない。以上の研究成果を第38回歴史人類学会大会で報告した。その内容をまとめて、これから学術雑誌に投稿する予定である。
