本年度は、昨年度からの継続テーマとして、集団間の顔の表現型の差異に配偶者選択が影響を与えうるのかということを検証することを目的とし、それらを調べる実験及び数理シミュレーションを行った。配偶者選択のための他個体の評価として、集団平均への好みを持つ個体、また、集団平均への好みを持たない個体のうち一定割合の個体が同一集団他個体の配偶者選択を参考にするを行っているmate-choice-copyingと仮定して、それらを調べる実験を実際に行った。実験は沖縄集団、本土集団の2集団を対象として行った。沖縄、本土併せて約240名の実験参加者による実験を行うことができた。その結果、特に沖縄集団において、配偶者選択のための他個体の評価に自身と同一集団の顔が影響を与えていることが示唆された。また、昨年度から行っている数理シミュレーションを継続し、集団平均への好みを持った個体の割合とmate-choice-copyingを行う個体の割合、及び各好みの強さによって、集団の顔の分布にどのような変化が生じるかを調べるシミュレーションを進めた。その結果、集団平均への好み及びmate-choice-copyingにより、互いに移住が行われている集団間でも、集団間の形質の違いが保たれうることが示された。この結果を第10回人間行動進化学会において「配偶者選択が表現型の集団間差異に与える効果」という題で口頭発表を行った。この結果をまとめた論文の執筆を現在進めている。
