项目摘要

2018年度は(1)遺跡出土資料の考古学的調査(2)各地収集民具コレクションについての調査(3)考古資料の植物解剖学的分析の基礎作業を行った。(1)遺跡出土編組製品について、新たに刊行された報告書からのデータ収集などの基礎的作業や、繩文・弥生時代の出土編組資料の実見調査を行った。調査の結果、2018年度に考古資料から繩文・弥生時代の筌について再検討を加えた結果を、2019年4月に考古学研究会でポスター発表を行った。2017から2018年度には箕についても考古資料・民俗資料について調査を行ったが、こちらについては2019年度後半以降学会発表もしくは論文での投稿を予定している。(2)民俗資料調査では、敦賀市博物館所蔵民具資料について、2017年度の民具調査に続いて、制作・使用者の聞き取り調査を実施した。漁具関連の民具調査として山口県周南市等の資料について追加の実見調査を行った。調査の結果、いくつかの指標民具の形態的分布から、それらを民具コレクションの性格の評価にあてることができそうだという見通しを得た。(3)編組製品の素材となる蔓や樹皮・靭皮繊維などについて出土資料を植物解剖学的に分類をができるようにするために基準となる標本を製作する必要がある。そのため、素材として使われている可能性のある植物種について、試料収集を2018年度中も継続して行い、後半からは特に蔓類・有用繊維植物についての標本作成をすすめ、樹種同定の技術を身につけるとともに、樹種同定の新しい手法や判断基準の策定を模索している。以上のように、2018年度は技法・形態という要素に注目した出土遺物・民俗資料の実見調査とともに、素材という観点から編組製品の変遷を明らかにするため理化学分析のためのデータ作成にも着手することができた。さらに追加調査を重ね、成果を2019年度中に公表するべく作業中である。
