本研究では，女子大学生の月経困難症と生活習慣との関連を『時間栄養学』×『時間運動学』の観点から解明し，適切な食品・栄養素の摂取タイミングと効果的な身体運動の実施タイミングの相乗効果により月経困難症の症状改善にアプローチすることを目的としている．本年度は，【研究課題1】である女子大学生の月経困難症と身体運動実施や食品・栄養素摂取についてのアンケート調査の結果について，月経困難症と身体運動または食品・栄養素摂取，それぞれの関連について分析するとともに，月経困難症と身体運動および食品・栄養素摂取との関連についても分析を進めており，学術論文として執筆しているところである．また，【研究課題2】である女子大学生の月経困難症の症状改善に対する食品・栄養素摂取及び身体運動実施のタイミングに関する研究について，女子大学生を対象とした約2か月間のアンケート調査及び3軸の加速度計を用いた身体活動量の測定を行っている．2周期分の月経状況と身体活動量を追って測定しているが，周期には個人差があり，短期間で測定ができる場合と長期間の測定になる場合があり，思うようにデータが収集できていないのが現状である．しかし，昨年度に加えてデータが収集できてきたため，月経周期（月経期・卵胞期・黄体期）に分け，月経困難症の有無と身体活動量の関係について分析を進めている．
