2019年度においては，①香港特別行政区における資料の収集，②国内における資料収集③資料分析を行った，①については， 2019年８月に実施した現地調査において，香港中央図書館において資料収集を実施した．②については，香港特別行政区における新型コロナウイルスの流行に伴う渡航制限ならびに政治的混乱により現地での調査が困難になったため，2020年３月に国立国会図書館関西館ならびに国立国会図書館東京本館において企業情報に関する現地発行資料の収集を行った．国立国会図書館関西館においては，中国広東省政府により発行された広東省誌を複写にて入手した．広東省誌には，当該地域における工業化の発展に関して香港との関連性が詳細に記述された資料である．③については，①で入手した資料を基に，香港特別行政区における製造業の時代による立地，営業品目の変遷に関する分析を行った．
