・変化の問題の中心を身体論のうちに見定め、スピノザにおける身体の概念に精神の変化の可能性を見出す研究を行った。具体的には、デカルトとの比較を通じてスピノザの身体論の特有性を明らかにした。・前年度に引き続き、スピノザが「個体 individuum」について考える際に、個体の部分間の「バランス」（注：スピノザ自身の用語ではない）を考慮に入れていたということと、このバランスが崩れてしまうことが「快感」という喜びの感情に結び付けられているということを明らかにした。本年度は次の解釈を付加するに至った。すなわち、スピノザにおける「バランス」の概念を正確にとらえるためには、外部のものから触発を受けることや外部のものに働きかけるための「適性」を、「活動力能 potentia agendi」とは異なる概念として区別する必要があるということである。・「個物 res singularis」の本質としてのコナトゥス（各々の事物が自ら維持しようと努めるところの努力のこと）が、事物それ自身をして存在し続けるようにあらしめるにもかかわらず「形相 forma」（「個体」の同一性を担保するもの）を変化させる事例として、『エチカ』における「自殺」の概念に焦点を当てた。なお、この研究は、ジュディス・バトラーによるスピノザ解釈を批判的に検討することを通じて行われた。・前年度に引き続き、スピノザの実体一元論を分析形而上学における一元論と付き合わせる作業を行った。Shafferが提示する枠組みとは異なり、スピノザにおいては部分と全体の関係と、様態と実体の関係が異なっているということと、具体的な存在者としての「宇宙の一部」とは異なる仕方でスピノザが有限様態を規定しえている可能性を示唆した。また、これに関連して、イギリス観念論におけるスピノザ解釈の哲学史的な分析を経て、一元論的スピノザ解釈の特徴を抽出する作業も行った。
