IOT技術の進歩により，実世界での人のふるまいの取得が容易になりつつある．このため，オンラインメディアの分析により得られた知見や解析技術を，実際の人の振る舞いに対して応用する研究が多数行われるようになった．バーチャルな環境から実世界へと軸足を移すことで，より高いインパクトの研究となることが考えられる．そこで，昨年度は複雑系や情報社会科学で世界トップレベルの研究所 ISI Foundation（Turin, Italy）に滞在し，Data Science and Computational Social Scienceグループと共同研究を行った．ここでは，時間的なネットワーク埋め込みを行うことで，感染症や情報拡散の予測タスクにとって有益なノード埋め込み表現を獲得することを主な目的として研究を行った．代表的な感染，情報伝播モデルでは，ノード間に何らかのインタラクションが生じた際にノードの状態が変わる可能性がある．そこで感染経路である，人同士のインタラクションを保持するようにテンポラルネットワークを2次元のマトリクス表現に展開し，その上をランダムウォークすることでノードの埋め込みを行った．得られた埋め込みベクトルは、テンポラルネットワーク上の感染症の伝搬の予測において有用であることを示した．今回得られた結果はプレプリントサーバーに論文としてまとめ，Complex Networks 2020に採択された．
