项目摘要

本研究の目的は、東日本縄文社会と西日本縄文社会を、集団関係、居住・生業活動、資源環境という3つの要素の統合的研究から捉え直すことで、生活痕跡である遺跡・遺構・遺物に見られる量的・質的差異、いわゆる「縄文文化の東西差」発現要因を解明することである。平成30年度は上述の目的を達成するため、以下の2項目について調査・研究を行った。（1）平成30年度は、前年度で行ったデータ収集・分析・考察の成果について、国内・国外の学会等で積極的に報告することに努めた。縄文時代後期の土器群に関する考古学的分析の成果を第29回中四国縄文研究会島根大会、栃木県中根八幡遺跡出土土器の胎土分析成果を日本考古学協会第84回総会、本研究課題のひとつであるセトルメント・パターンや石器組成に関する分析成果を考古学研究会第64回総会・研究集会・平成30年度九州史学会で報告している。また、本研究課題申請時にその重要性を強調していた、考古学という学問の国際化に一定の貢献を果たすべく、SEAA-8 Nanjing・World Social Science Forum 2018のように、本研究成果の一部を国際学会・国際シンポジウムにおいて報告した。（2）平成29年度において、九州、関東で不足していた分析対象時期の土器資料について追加調査を実施し、データ収集を行った。また、当時の生業・居住活動の検討を行う上で、あまり馴染みのない東日本縄文文化についての知見を深めるため、遺跡の踏査を積極的に行っている。立地環境や周辺地形を確認し、それぞれの遺跡のGPSポイントデータを収集している。上記の（1）・（2）と、平成29年度の研究成果を総括して、博士論文を執筆した。2019年3月20日付で、学位〔博士（学術）（地球社会博甲第21号）〕を取得した。
