项目摘要

2019年4月にコート・ダジュール大学で実施された国際シンポジウムでは、それぞれスース大学（チュニジア）とナミュール大学（ベルギー）に所属する若手研究者とパネルを組み、舞踊作品におけるテクスト使用について、口頭発表と討議を行なった。報告者は、テクストの声化が舞踊作品にもたらす効果について発表した。後に続く共同討議では、テクストの導入がもたらす観客の役割の変化、翻案という概念の検討等、重要な論点が提示された。12月の舞踊学会大会では、2016年度より定期開催する勉強会のメンバーと共同でポスター発表を行ない、実践の多様化に応じて拡張を続ける舞踊学の動向を整理し、共通の理論的基盤を構築することを試みた。報告者は「語る主体／語られる主体：テクストの振付作品化をめぐって」と題して、言語使用の観点から仏語圏の舞踊研究における言説史を精査し、発話という行為、なかでもそのリズムという観点から身振りと言葉の関係を問い直すことを提案した。また、取り扱う研究範囲をより明確化するため、「他者性」と「翻訳」という切り口を導入した。意味論的な理解を一方では利用し、他方では撹乱する言葉の用法を仮に「他者の言語」と名付け、他者論や翻訳理論を援用しながら、事例の整理を試みている。この「他者の言語」という語には、他者が書いた／語った言葉、意味を解せない異言語、身体にとっての異物である言語、という三つの意味が含まれる。博士論文では、以上の視点を盛り込みながら、他者への情報伝達の手段である言語の意図的な誤用・変形・失敗が舞踊作品にもたらす効果を理論化していきたいと考えている。このほか、オーストラリアの舞踊専門誌Dancehouse Diaryに論文 "Japanese Contemporary Dance, From Past to Present" を寄稿した。
