今年度は、当該研究の総まとめとして博論の執筆を位置づけ、各小課題の議論を整理した。当初の予定を変更し、「不確実性の再創造／想像」について、数字くじ、闘鶏、財宝探索の異なる三種の実践に着目して論じた。また、これらの実践の社会的条件として、国家による賭博の規制・管理政策の変遷、道徳観念の規律・訓練の成否を論じた。この議論は、フィリピンでの現地調査や現地で収集した一次資料・二次資料に基づいている。研究を進める中で、大衆による賭博行為に対する道徳的価値判断についての微視的な検討の必要性が生じてきたため、現地調査で得た事例を用いながら、国家による合法／違法の枠組みや警察権力による規律・訓練のありようから、ずれるように保持される人びとの賭博の道徳観念について考察した。フィリピンの数字くじ、闘鶏、財宝探索という異なる三つの事例をつなぎ合わせる共通項として、「不確実性の認識と実践が生起する出来事」という性格を付与した。異なる三種の事例から、それぞれに異なる「不確実性の認識のされ方」や、「その事象に対して、人びとが行為を立ち上げるさま」を明らかにした。「不確実性が認識され、その認識を受けて事象に対する実践が作り出されていく連続的瞬間の生成過程」を、総論として最終的に検討することで、当該研究課題の着地点とした。賭博の諸実践において不確実性は、遊戯者による能動的な関与なしには存在しない。この点において、賭けにおける不確実性は、行為者の認識と共にしか存在しないということになり、行為者なしで存在する独立的な事態とはみなせない。よって本研究は、行為者の認識の問題として不確実性を定置し、意味付与が施され実体化した不確実な事態の中へいかに行為者が自らを投企するのか、「なぜ、あえて、不確実性に身を投じるのか」を問いとして、賭博への没頭の様相について検討した。
