项目摘要

本研究は、フェルディナン・ド・ソシュールが19世紀末から20世紀初めに行った古代ギリシア・ローマ神話、中世英雄伝説、北欧神話に関する研究の動機、方法論、目的を未公刊の手稿から読み取り、同時期に行っていた歴史比較言語学、一般言語学、アナグラム研究との関連性において明らかにするというものである。これまでに、中世英雄叙事詩、北欧神話、ギリシア神話に関する書籍、古典語・古語の辞書、ゲルマン諸国家に関する歴史書などを購入した。2018年5-7月に香川大学において、ソシュールの伝説・神話研究をテーマにした一般向け公開講座を担当した。2018年8月と2019年8-9月にジュネーヴ図書館で関連資料を収集・購入した。特にアメデ・ティエリのアッティラ研究に関する手稿を見つけ、論文にまとめた。2020年度は、新型コロナウイルス感染症への対応（遠隔配信授業）、日本フランス語フランス文学会中国・四国支部長の職務のため、予定していた成果をあげることができなかったが、同学会中国・四国支部大会（オンライン開催）で発表し、それをもとに支部会誌に論文を投稿した（2021年6月公刊）。2021年度は研究期間を1年延長したが、コロナ禍が続くなかでの勤務先の異動、妻の妊娠・出産、その後の家事・育児のため、十分な研究時間を確保することができなかった。それでも年度末、『中央大学人文研紀要』に投稿した論文（2022年9月公刊）において、ソシュールの伝説・神話研究の方法論と「徴候的読解」を比較した。2022年度も育児に追われ、研究がなかなか捗らなかったが、やはり年度末に『中央大学人文研紀要』に論文を投稿した（現在校正・編集作業中）。2023年度は、研究期間を再延長し、研究成果をまとめる。

This study focuses on the motivation, methodology and purpose of the study of ancient Chinese mythology, medieval Chinese mythology and Nordic mythology from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. Books related to medieval heroes, Norse mythology, ancient Chinese dictionaries, and national history books were purchased.
