项目摘要

スペイン初期近代の都市計画には「主要広場Plaza mayor」と「小広場Plaza menor」といった要素が見られ、広場をカテゴリー化する視点が窺える。本研究は、初期近代・近代の都市計画において、機能分散や多様性の創出など小広場が都市空間にもたらす影響を考察し、都市計画技術として小広場の計画を位置付けることを目標にしている。現在、都市計画に関する法規範（テキスト史料）に見られるプランニングにおける小広場の計画方針について、また、都市空間構成に関する情報を含む都市図等（イメージ史料）に読み取れる小広場に関係付けられる都市レイアウトや施設配置に関して考察を進めている。今年度は主に、テキスト史料、イメージ史料の選定とカルテ化を進めた。テキスト史料は、初期近代において、スペインが国家として植民地の都市計画に対して発令した都市計画や土地区分に関する規範のうち、「主要広場」「小広場」に言及したものを抽出した。イメージ史料は、初期近代の植民地の都市計画図や、城壁の外側へ新市街を計画した19世紀半ばの近代都市計画図を対象とした。また、考察過程におけるイメージとテキストが指し示す内容を相互に関係づける作業には恣意的な判断が入り得る。このことから、並行して、テキストからイメージを導出する場合と、イメージからテキストを導出する場合の違いや、両者の帰結の妥当性について、都市計画の歴史的背景が大きく異なる日本近世の風景画や都市図を対象にした検討も試みた。今年度は、翌年度からの長期海外出張による研究中断前の当初の研究課題初年度計画として実施したものであり、本課題は研究再開後に継続する。
