昨年度は、研究分担者が所属する医療機関において実験を行うことができた。患者誤認を実験テーマとした。患者誤認とは、誤った薬剤を、誤った患者に投与する極めて危険な看護行為であり、看護師の法的責任が問われる場合もある。患者誤認を単にヒューマン・エラーとはせず、何らかの改善アプローチを用いることでどのように変化が生まれるのかを研究した。まず約10名のリスク・マネージャーと看護師からヒアリングを行い、どのような状況で患者誤認が発生しやすいのか、を聞いた。例えば、働き方改革によって業務時間内で作業を終わらせるプレッシャーが高まったことが、作業の省略につながっている可能性があることを知ることができた。また、作業効率を高めるために、ある事務器具を薬袋に対して使用しているが、この事務器具の使用が患者誤認の可能性を高めているのではないかという指摘があった。実験では、これを検証した。また、患者誤認を防ぐためのQRコードを用いた新しいテクノロジー・デバイスの開発し、その役立ち度合だけでなく、全体の作業効率に対する影響についても検証を行った。実験内容については論文化を行い、現在審査待ちの状況である。い、現在審査待ちの状況である。
