北海道岩見沢市教育研究所および岩見沢市教育委員会と協力して，岩見沢市内の各小中学校の特別支援学級に在籍する児童生徒約200人を対象に口腔周囲筋トレーニングを実施した。内容は、特別支援学級の児童生徒に口腔周囲筋トレーニングを12ヶ月間実施し、inelandⅡ（適応行動尺度）によって開始前と実施後の2回に分けて評価をした。口腔周囲筋トレーニングは，口腔周囲筋トレーニング器具である「クチトレプラス」を用いて、1日１回各3分間のトレーニングを行った。コロナ禍の影響により，登校停止になるケースがあり，現場での直接指導ができずに計画していた実施方法等が大幅に変更となったため，実施状況を把握することは困難であった。実施できたケースで前後比較をしたところ，おおむねinelandⅡ（適応行動尺度）において全体的に総合評価が向上した。
