We defined the standards for near-zero sintering shrinkage pottery (NZS) fired -1300 degrees based on expert suggestions, as follows: i) sintering shrinkage (SS) of <2.0%; ii) pyroplastic deformation index (PI) of <1.5×10-6 mm-1.Then, we analyzed the thermal mechanical properties and phase composition of NZS. The sintering shrinkage of NZS stops at 1100~1200 degrees due to anorthite crystallization, confiremed by high-temprature XRD. After analyzing the phase composition of the pottery fired at 1200 degrees and the pottery with SS <2.0% fired at 1300 degrees, respectively, phase composition criteria of NZS was established, and the suppressing mechanism was clarified.
