２０２２年度上半期については、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大による移動の制限は緩やかになったものの、感染の懸念は拭えなかったため、積極的な調査活動は満足に行えなかった。そこで、昨年度同様、予定を一部変更し、これまでに収集した著作物や資料の整理・データ化、目録の作成を中心に作業を進めた。２０２２年８月頃からは長期休暇を利用し、早稲田大学坪内博士記念演劇博物館、国立国会図書館（東京本館、関西館）、大阪府立中央図書館こども資料室等へ赴いての調査を開始した。結果として、２０２２年度は、１９５０年までの調査が概ね完了し、著作物や資料をデータ化し、目録を作成した。引き続き、演出や舞台装置等の仕事の記録と併記した年譜を作成段階である（～１９７７年）。完成すれば、商業演劇の演出を行う傍ら、労働者を描き、資本主義の闇を浮き彫りにするという社会派演劇を創造するという二面性を照射する一助となると考える。2022年7月末には、国際シンポジウム「吼えろアジア　東アジアのプロレタリア文学・芸術とその文化移転　１９２０－３０年代」のセッション２「村山知義」で司会を務めた。１９２０年代を中心に、村山知義と中国、ドイツ、朝鮮との関わりを包括的に議論する場となった。
