项目摘要

本研究では、日本語教員養成関連科目履修者を対象に、ジャンルアプローチの理解を目指したワークショップを開発・実施し、得られた知見からジャンルアプローチの実行可能性および教員の自己成長について検討する。令和4年度は、主に以下の3つに取り組んだ。①ワークショップで使用するサンプルテクスト（「昔話」「アカデミックレポート」「介護記録」）の収集および分析を行った。昔話に関しては、体系機能言語学のこれまでの研究によって明らかになっている言語学的特徴を参考にし、それらの特徴がある程度反映されている昔話のテクストを3つ収集した。アカデミックレポートおよび介護記録に関しては、体系機能言語学の領域で文献が見つけられなかったため、本研究者が分析し、ワークショップに適しているものを14個収集した。分析で明らかになったアカデミックレポートの特徴や考察については、英語論文の形にまとめた。②ワークショップの開催回数の検討および変更を行った。申請時の計画では、開催回数を全15回としていたが、継続して参加できる参加者があまり見込まれないことを考慮し、全3回へ変更した。それに伴い、ワークショップで取り扱う内容も単純化した。具体的には、ジャンル理論の説明において、ジャンルの本質の理解を促すような問いかけや話し合いを取り入れ、ジャンルを直感的にも捉えられるような工夫を加えた。また、使用する資料は、参加者がメモをとる負担を軽減するため、空欄補充形式にした。③研究者が担当している日本語読み書きクラスにおいて、ジャンルアプローチに基づいたライティング指導の実践を行った。この実践は申請時当初には計画していなかったが、実証的な知見がワークショップ開発に付加すると考え、秋学期と春学期に実施した。この実践の報告および振り返りは、2023年8月17日、18日のカナダ日本語教育振興会年次大会のポスター発表として採用されている。
