2022年度の研究では、前年度の研究に引き続き、古代エジプト新王国時代第18王朝時代の『死者の書』の悉皆調査に専心した。2022年8月には、資料調査を目的としてライデン大学近東研究所を訪問し、同研究機関のエジプト学教授であるオラフ・カッパー教授をはじめとする現地の専門家との議論を行った。そして、新王国時代に制作された『死者の書』に描写される「二柱のマアト」の性格が変化の過程にあるとする見解を共有し、変化の背景にある当時の政治的・思想的背景を追求することで、「二柱のマアト」の実体の理解につながるという結論に至った。これをうけ、第18王朝時代における「二柱のマアト」を異なる視点から分析するため、新たに「二柱のマアト」と関連する当時の来世思想の１つである「死者の審判」(「死者の裁判」)の分析に着手した。「死者の審判」は死後の復活を果たすために死者が冥界で受ける審判であり、死者は審判に先立ち生前の身の潔白を宣言する「無罪の宣言」を行う。この「無罪の宣言」の内容は、従来の研究において写本ごとの変化を示さない場面であると認識されてきた。しかし、第18王朝時代の複数の写本を比較・分析することで、同時代における「無罪の宣言」の内容は、写本ごとに明らかな相違があり、「二柱のマアト」と同様に多様性に富むことを示した。これにより、新王国時代第18王朝時代における「二柱のマアト」と「死者の審判」に関連する「無罪の宣言」は、共通して当時の来世思想を構成する新たな要素として組み込まれ、その後の来世思想の収斂に向かう変化の過程にあった可能性を示した。
