本年度は，フィリピン研究者らと共同でつくる学術書の出版企画を形にするとともに，フィリピンとの比較研究の対象地である沖縄県の研究成果を発表した。まず前者については，昨年度に引き続いて他分野の若手研究者らと共著の刊行に向けて打ち合わせと研究会を重ね，年度末に『現代フィリピンの地殻変動』を刊行した。中窪は同書のうち１章の執筆を担当し，これまでフィリピンやギマラス州で行ってきた現地調査と本年度のオンラインの調査で得たデータ，本研究課題の申請時以降に発表された先行研究に依拠して，ギマラス州のマンゴー産地において進展するブランド推進体制の構築と，そのもとでの生産者の経営実態を報告した。さらに，本研究の事例を，今日の中所得国で台頭しつつある新しい農業経営をめぐる議論の中に位置付けた。次に，昨年度には新型コロナウィルス感染症拡大の影響でフィリピンでの調査が困難であったため，熱帯果樹の産地の組織化をめぐる比較研究に向けて沖縄県で調査を開始した。本年度には4月に補足調査を行い，これと以前の調査の成果に基づいて，「史学研究会」のシンポジウム形式の例会（テーマ「食」）で発表した。さらに，この発表内容を再検討して論文にまとめ，同会が発行する『史林』誌に投稿した。本論文は，フィリピンと同じく農産物産地の組織化が十分に進展してこなかった沖縄県において，とりわけ本土復帰後に熱帯果樹がいかに導入され産業・産地形成を遂げてきたのかを論じたものである。本論文の知見は，今後，フィリピンの産地研究とともに検討する著作の材料として役立てる。フィリピンの現地調査については，本年度はパンガシナン州で実施することを予定していたが，新型コロナウィルス感染症拡大の影響を受けて実現できなかった。
