令和４年度（2022年度）における研究実績として、研究実施計画の①②③に当たる調査研究を実施した。①は「特にバンカー条約法系の民事責任条約の制度設計、および条約の起草過程に関する文献や論文・裁判例を網羅的に渉猟する」としていた部分は、概ね計画通りに実施した。しかし、「海外の国内裁判例の資料収集においては、新型コロナウイルスの流行の状況を考慮しつつ、海外における文献の現地渉猟を実施する」としていた部分については、以下③において記述するヒアリングの結果、多くの海外の国内裁判例が和解による解決がなされている旨の情報を得たため、関連情報収集のために別の方式を検討することとした。②について、「特にバンカー条約法系の民事責任条約の制度設計、および条約の起草過程に関する議論について、国際機関の関連資料を収集する」とした部分については、日本海事センターにおいて、海商法資料の収集を実施する等した。③について「条約の制度設計につき、海運関係事業者(含む保険会社)、および海商法専門家等へヒアリングを実施する」としていた部分については、専門家へのヒアリングを１回実施し、バンカー条約の制度設計や実際の損害賠償請求の流れ等について有意な知見を得た。
