项目摘要

2022年度においても、新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響により、本研究を進めていく上で決定的に重要となる中国での一次資料収集及び聞き取り調査の実施が、前年度に続きまったくできなかった。本研究は、「蔵茶」というかつて漢民族側でチベット族用に生産・製造していた茶を具体的な対象に、特に文化の政治利用や文化交渉の過程に注目することを通して、少数民族に対する中国の文化政策を捉え直すことを目指している。2022年度は予定していた蔵茶の実態調査ができなかったため、中国の民族政策、とくにチベット族に対する文化政策に関する既存研究の現状整理を行なった。中国の民族政策に関しては、国家が「中華民族の多元的一体化」に向けて、周縁・辺境の少数民族を軍事的・政治的・経済的な手段で統合を図る、「同化」と「支配」という一方向的な議論が主流となっている。また蔵茶を取り上げる先行研究も漢民族地域からチベットに茶が伝播していく歴史、茶がチベット文化を構成している側面（日常生活、民間文学、物語、チベット仏教の実践活動など）に焦点を当てているのがほとんどである。つまり一方向ではなく、双方向（または立体的）的な視点から、チベット文化化した蔵茶が漢民族や中華民族にどのような反作用をもたらしているのかについての考察が見つからなかった。2022年に蔵茶を含む「中国の伝統的な製茶技術とその関連習俗」がユネスコ無形文化遺産に登録されたことも例になるように、蔵茶を介した漢民族とチベット族の文化の具体的な交渉過程の分析から、新たな文化の創造や共生など、より立体的な検討ができると思われる。しかし現時点では充分な資料を基にした検討ができていない。助成期間の3年目となる2023年度は、ようやく新型コロナによる世界的な緊急事態の終了を迎え、今後研究期間の延長申請を考えながら、夏季休暇、春季休暇を利用して中国での現地調査を予定している。
