２０２２年度は、過年度に引き続き国内での史料調査と分析をおこない、研究発表の準備および論文執筆に注力した。国内での史料調査については、国立国会図書館東京本館を中心に調査をおこなった。こうした周辺史料調査のなかで、本研究とは別の小研究テーマを発見したため、このテーマに関する研究および史料調査・収集についても複線的に進行させた。複線的なテーマについても成果の公開の準備を進めた。本事業とは別の代表研究（「浅沼稲次郎の政治指導に対する実証的研究：１９２５～１９６０年」、１９Ｋ２３１８３）において仮説の形成に至った「憲政の常道」論をキーワードにする野党の反対の論理・政治的慣習という視座を用いつつ、戦後に新たな第二院としてスタートをきった参議院の初期の実相や同時代の社会党・民社党の活動の実態を明らかにすべく検討を進めた。さらに、研究協力者として参加している科研費による研究会（「第一次世界大戦における『模範国ドイツ』崩壊の日本に及ぼした影響の政治外交史的研究 」、２０Ｈ０１３１２）での研究成果や、共同研究を行っている他の共同研究者の成果・助言からも本研究の進行にあたって多大な示唆を受けた。第一次世界大戦後、大正デモクラシーのもと社会主義が勃興しつつある時期の政府および活動家の関係性についても、より立体的・複合的に再評価を行う余地について検討を進め、戦後へとつながる一貫した分析枠組みの構築を行うべく研究を進めた。
