本研究は、#MeTooをきっかけとした「ポスト#MeToo」時代のジャーナリズムの変容を、メディア労組を中心とした議論と取り組みに注目し、実証的、理論的に考察し、東アジア地域の日韓における変容を比較社会的に考察するものである。2022年度は、日本のメディア関連労組のジェンダー平等や反性差別と関連した議論や取り組みについて継続的な研究を行うとともに、韓国のメディア関連労組におけるこれまでの議論や取り組みについて資料及び文献調査を行うことを目的としていた。2022年度の研究実績としては、韓国出張を通じて、韓国における「女性記者協会」（前・女性記者会、1961年結成）から刊行された出版物や資料を収集することができた。また、#MeToo以後、韓国のメディアにおける組織的変化や報道内容の変化についても、ジェンダーデスクや性平等委員会のメンバー（記者）をインタビューすることができた。日本におけるメディア労組関連の書籍や情報を収集、整理するとともに、韓国における調査もできたことは収穫であった。具体的な研究成果としては、昨年度から取り組んでいた、日本の新聞媒体における#MeToo報道の言説分析と記者に対する聞き取り調査の成果が、Marginalizing the reporting of #MeToo 2.0 with Structural Bias in Japan（編著、Reporting on Sexual Violence in #MeToo　Era、Routledge)として、2022年10月に出版された。そのほか、#MeTooを中心事例とした「SNSと政治―デジタル時代の民主主義」（編著『ジェンダーで学ぶメディア論』、世界思想社）が2023年3月に出版された。
