国内外の大学の聴覚障害教員への支援体制の拡充には、支援によって聴覚障害教員の能力が向上され、聴覚障害教員の授業を受けた学生への教育効果が重要である。聴覚障害教員の授業を受けた学生に対し、説明的デザイン分析を採用し、学生の授業評価額とその理由について因果関係を明らかにした。聴覚障害教員に対し、探索的デザイン分析を採用し、国内外の聴覚障害教員への支援体制、学生時の支援体制の相違点を明らかにした。その結果、米国・カナダ、日本、ガーナの3グループに分けて授業評価額を比較し、日本では、評価額が1,000円-5,000円、米国とカナダ、ガーナでは、評価額が5,001円-50,000円の学生が多かった。３つのグループでカイ2乗検定し、有意水準1％で有意差がみられた。続いて、授業評価額の平均値の国別の差について、ウェルチのt検定を行なった。米国・カナダとガーナとの比較では有意差はみられなかったが、米国・カナダは有意水準1％で日本より有意に高く、ガーナも有意水準1％で日本より有意に高かった。日本の学生の評価は他の国と比べて、授業評価額の平均値が低かった。他方、聴覚障害教員は、教員時と学生時の両方、以前の大学と現在の大学で情報保障を受けたとしても、支援体制の質が異なるという点も挙げられた。日本・米国・カナダ・英国・北西ヨーロッパ・ガーナ等の大学における支援金源や支援制度が異なった。日本や米国では主に大学が負担し、他の国々では国が負担する。日本や米国では大学からの支援額の拡充、他の国々では大学専門の手話通訳者の養成拡充や国際手話通訳の資金的援助の必要が挙げられた。聴覚障害教員の授業に対する学生の評価額は高く、聴覚障害教員による教育・社会活動の拡充の効果が期待できた。さらに聴覚障害教員の支援体制を拡充することにより、聴覚障害教員による多くの貢献、すなわち学生への教育効果の一層の拡大が期待される。
