本研究の目的は、在宅要介護高齢者の日々のケアに関する意向尊重や意思決定支援において専門職が直面する困難に焦点を絞り、その実態と背景にある要因を明らかにすることである。本研究の知見に基づき、専門職の困難を軽減し高齢者の意向を尊重したケアの提供に資することを目指す。なお、本研究では軽度～中等度の要介護高齢者の意思決定支援に着目する。2022年度は、在宅介護に携わる専門職に対する量的調査の実施に向け、国内外の学会に参加し意思決定支援に関する情報収集を行うとともに、調査設計・分析枠組みの検討、及び文献レビューに基づく調査項目の検討を行った。日々の生活における意思決定支援についての知見は十分蓄積されておらず、多職種に用いることのできる、困難の実態を把握するための調査項目の検討に時間を要している。
